Modern Day Warrior

“Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” –1 Peter 2: 1-3

Hey Webbies,

A warrior is someone who takes part in or is experienced in warfare.

I am so fortunate to have been born in the United States of America, for one reason I am “protected” from war. I was not born in a country where children are stolen at night and forced to fight in an army of rebels. I do not have to worry about being gang-raped while my village is being breached. I am fortunate not to know the sound of a bomb going off. I am not a warrior of this world.

I am a spiritual warrior.

I am nothing more, nor nothing less; yet a warrior I shall remain.

I am a soldier in a war far more important than any war we have fought to date.

What if I were to tell you no one is safe or protected from this war.  Men, woman, children and even toddlers will fight in this war. We are responsible for making sure our children are well equipped. Women have a responsibility of looking after children because it is in our nature. If we do not look out for other’s children as well, how are our men supposed to lead our spiritual households when women are bickering about the responsibilities of our children? I do not have children yet, but that should not matter I, as a woman feel I have a responsibility to help children grow. Our children have to be even more equipped than I am, than you are.

Spiritual warfare is an everyday battle. Constantly knocking and tempting us at the thresholds of our houses. Many families welcome this battle into their homes and no longer see the fatal threat it emits. Older, hopefully wiser people in their households should protect innocent children more. They need to see strength and defiance against the devil; they need to see the power of Christ. We need to make more of an effort to lead by example and get our next spiritual warfare warriors ready for the monumental battle that is set to break loose.

To all my readers out there: Stand up and step up. Take responsibly for the immature. Fight and be a warrior in God’s army.

Until next time,

Kalah
