Confessions of an Alien

4 Sep

“If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.”                   — John  15: 19

(No Tombstone – Andy “C-Lite” Mineo)

Hey Webbies,

I love this song and felt I needed to share it.

I am an Alien this is not my planet. I dwell in the place where hate is accepted. I am a foreigner, for I do not intend to set my roots down here. I have a body made for this world and it craves things of this world, but I need more of my God to remind me of the place I belong. Through his strength, I may endure one more day to carry out his work. It is part of my job to show God’s love. I shall be humble in all I do. My tombstone does not matter in this world because this is not my home. It is a makeshift grave of where I lay until I can return to my home.

I love the part of the song where it says, “I seek your presence with my head to the floor.” I shall not bow to anything of this world, so when I can bow to my father, I soak up his love and soak up his presence.

I believe in the world beyond, I believe in everlasting life.

We have to rely on God and put our trust in him because without him we will not survive this planet.

The invasion is sin.

The Earth is against us, threatened. It will stop at no one’s expense because it says we do not belong.  We have a warrant on our heads, the “worldly” people despise everything we stand for and have. We have God. My God lets me call on him whenever I am in need. He graciously lets me bask in his presence. I need more of Him.

I will wait patiently until He comes to take me to my true home.

Until next time,
